Safelight
Recommendations:
Use
a KODAK 1A Safelight Type Filter/light red or the equivalent, in a suitable
safelight lamp equipped with a 15-watt bulb. Keep the film at least 4 feet (1.2
meters) from the safelight. Avoid prolonged exposure to safelight illumination.
ISO
/ ASA 8 10 for general halftone works (Developing in
an A & B Type Developer)
ISO/
ASA 10 25 when shooting continuous tone (Common
Paper Developer)
When
processing you can use a Kodak 1A Safelight to check development. (Do NOT use an
Amber Safe Light)
Works
with many different normal B&W developers and even Caffenol , for example.
These are some real basic guidelines. The film inherently has wide latitude in
high contrast applications, and a much narrower window when utilizing as a
mid-tone film.
