ECN-2 Home Processing Kits The correct development kit for all Kodak Vision3 cinema films such as the Ultrafine Motipix Film Line. The kits come in 1 litre good for developing 16 rolls of film and 0.5 litres good for 8 rolls of film. Included in the kit is everything that Kodak recommends, Prebath Developer Stop bath Bleach Fixer Stabilizer Results achieved by using a real ECN-2 kit for (Motion Picture) cinema film cannot be replicated with cross processing in C-41 and these EZ Kits really get the job done.
ECN-2 PROCESSING FOR 16 ROLL KIT (1 LITER KIT)
WARNING: This kit contains chemicals that may be harmful if misused, keep out of the reach of children
Equipment required:
Timer, thermometer, processing tank or processor, 6 1 liter chemical containers, graduate cylinder, microfiber cloth, water bath, gloves, mask and eye protection.
MIXING CHEMICALS:
Use distilled water for all mixing.
PREBATH: Mix package into 800ml of water heated to 38 degrees (100F). Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 1 liter.
DEVELOPER: Mix package into 800ml of water heated to 45 degrees C (113F). Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 1 liter.
STOP BATH: Add ˝ of container (15ml) to 800ml of water, then fill to make 1 liter
BLEACH: Mix package into 800ml of water heated to 38 degrees (100F). Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 1 liter.
FIXER: Add room temperature water to fixer to make 1 liter.
STABILIZER: Add to 1 liter of room temperature water.
DEVELOPING: Warm Prebath to 27C/80F. Warm Developer, Stop Bath, Bleach and Fixer to 41.1C/106F.
Each chemical can be re-used until the capacity of 16 rolls is reached. Stop bath is good for 8 rolls, then mix second batch with remaining 15ml.
PREBATH: Fill inversion tank (Paterson, AP) to capacity, tap sides to release bubbles and soak 10 seconds, return prebath to container. Rinse three times, shaking vigorously each time. If using a Jobo type processor, fill tank to “inversion” capacity and follow same instructions.
DEVELOPER: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 3 minutes have elapsed.
STOP BATH: Add stop bath, invert once and let stand for 30 seconds.
RINSE: Exchange water three times.
BLEACH: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 3 minutes have elapsed.
RINSE: Exchange water three times.
FIXER: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 2 minutes have elapsed.
RINSE: Exchange water for 5 minutes.
Take film off reel and wipe with a wet cloth to remove any remaining Remjet.
STABILIZER: Soak in stabilizer for 1 minute at room temperature Hang film to dry in a dust free location.
Stopper all bottles and store at room temperature.
