Konica Minolta (Minolta) X-700 35mm SLR Manual Focus Camera with 50mm f/1.7 MD Lens - Used Condition 8+
The Minolta X-700 is the flagship of these Minolta mechanical cameras and true work horses and the perfect student camera for instructors to teach, and students to learn, when taking photography classes. The best way to learn, is to do so, with a camera that can be operated manually. This is how you'll come to understand the basics of exposure, and put basic photographic principles, such as the exposure triangle, into practice.
Most instructors will expect you to be able to use the camera manually as part of your curriculum. You'll practice not only how to get the "by the book" exposure, but will also come to understand how and why to over- or under-expose on purpose for a more creative effect or because the "correct" exposure may not actually work for a particular moment or subject matter.
These Minolta Cameras are cleaned and examined and ready to learn with. Includes the Camera with a 50mm Minolta lens. Fully operational and functions 100% as intended. Camera and lens are clean and are film and shutter tested! These will not be cosmetically perfect, however they will have been checked and cleaned and tested. They are in very good working conditions including the light meters (exact accuracy not guaranteed)and generally around an 8 - 10 Grade. While supplies last.
The ultra-successful Minolta X-700 is a manual focus system camera with the option of full Program exposure control. Offering Aperture Priority automatic exposure as well as manual, the X-700 is a slick, compact package with simple, easy-to-understand controls. TTL (Through-The-Lens) flash metering is also available with appropriate dedicated optional flash units (the original optional TTL dedicated flash units were 360PX, 280PX, 132PX and Macro 80PX).
The X-700 is fully compatible with any Minolta MD mount lens. Lenses with the Minolta MC mount can still be used but in Aperture Priority or manual modes only (not in Program). Winding is manual but the optional Minolta Auto Winder G and the high quality MD-1 (Motor Drive 1) are often available.
Program, Aperture Priority and Manual exposure control Simple control layout - easy to use TTL Flash metering with suitable dedicated flash units Optional Winders and Motordrives Compatibility with the vast array of Minolta MD-mount lenses
We usually have a pretty good supply of X-370, but we may need to substitute, or mix in X-570. We will let you know if needed. Camera requires 2 of these Button Cell Batteries to operate
